One of the projects that I am most excited about getting underway with is the photo database. I have to right up the formalities with the legal etc, but in short it will be a database of sustainably themed, user submitted photos, under a Creative Commons license. The database is then open for free use by individuals (for non profit uses) and for not-for-profit organizations. My hope is that with an readily accesible, and free, database of images groups can easily up their appeal as they try to reach the general public and raise awareness of their particluar cause. The enviro/sustainability movement has always been big on heart but admittedly a little short on style. I think that’s going to change in a big way in the near future though. With a variety of open source tools and projects like the sustainable photo archive on the go I think we will see a whole new green media (ed. note, that at least is what I hope to see becuase I am putting a lot of my time and future fiscal security on the line to see it happen.
One tool that I think has great potential to bring the sustainable photo archive ot life is bubble share, and this is how it works.
