About Environmental attitudes…

February 25th, 2006 · 2 Comments

I am very much interested in the attitiudes of people toward environmental issues and alternatives. A better understanding of where people are coming from (the multitude of perspectives that differ form my sustainable/reduced impact leaning one) This will be an ongoing theme on the weblog for sure.

Heading out to play in the snow for a bit with the boy (and now we are back so I can finish the post). While I am gone enjoy an episode of Rocketboom which tackles global warming and environmental attitudes, kinda!

I’ve been amazed at the number of people interested in living “off the grid” up here in The Sound (Owen Sound). I know of four sets of people in my immediate circle of friends who either live off the grid, or have it as a long term goal. Certainly not a concept that I ran across (with the same frequency) when I lived in The City (Toronto)…

that is just one more piece of evidence for me that we are making the right move returning to Owen Sound. I think the grey-bruce as a whole is hip to it. Look at how the green party did in the last election. Man do I have plans for the summer when the move is complete!
