I just read about Junk Music at Great Green Goods and I went to check out more about it at junkmusic.org . Check out the junk music player for more sample tracks. My son is a very big fan, especially of the Wood Music. I will have to see about having the Junkman himself on a future episode of Sounds Sustainable.
On that note if anyone has other links to music with sustainable themes (or instruments) please pass along a link. One of the projects that I am trying to get going at besustainable is the Sustainable Anthem Project, basically a collaborative effort to create, promote and distribute music with a message. Songs of inspiration, motivation, and action to further and quicken the spread of sustainable ideas and thinking. You can check out the anthem blog, but there’s not a whole lot there yet. I have a few tracks tentatively ready to go but the more the merrier!
