WWF-Canada CN Tower Climb

March 27th, 2006 · No Comments

So I just caught an ad on the street for the World Wildlife Fund’s CN Tower climb for Global Warming. I am definitely going to take part in this event and hopefully I can collect some audio/video for the blog as I go. There are a variety of ways that you can take part as well. For starters you could join me for the climb:

  • The average person takes 30-40 minutes to climb the CN Tower.
  • There are 144 landings and no windows in the staircase. We have trained medical staff inside the staircase to encourage you as you ascend to the top of the CN Tower.

or you could sponsor my efforts by making a pledge (tax reciept for any pledge over $20) to support my climb. If you have any questions please fell free to contact me. If you are looking for more info (you kow to pass around at work to enlist pledges you can download the event brochure:
WWF- CN Tower Climb brochure (.pdf) here . Includes complete registration details and tips on how to fundraise for your climb.

If you think like I do then the 1700 or so steps should seem a little daunting. With that in mind now is as good a time as any to start training for the April 29th event. The event site also includes a 6 week fitness/training program to get you up to speed in time for the event.
